Our Team Click Workshop is a one-day event for entrepreneurs, executives and hiring managers where we teach you the basics of personality assessments and how to apply them to yourself and to your team.
You will complete two personality assessments prior to the workshop and have a certified coach interpret them for you.
"Right People, Right Seats" is a common phrase in the world of business leaders. This is one of the core principles behind building a successful and thriving company. There are ways to accurately measure the attributes of a person's personality, including their autonomy/leadership, social ability, speed (pace) and conformity/ability to follow systems and complete tasks. The different roles in your business require different personalities in order to achieve success.
What happens when you put the "Right Person" in the wrong seat? That person experiences a high level of dissatisfaction in their job. They feel like they're lacking in their ability to perform, and it usually affects their self image and the image they project to others. Oftentimes someone in the wrong seat will experience stress and anxiety in connection with their employment. This leads to team breakdown, inefficiency and frequent turnover.
This principle is very true for business owners and executives as well.
Every business needs an accountability chart and the right people in place to keep everyone accountable. Each "Seat" in the organization needs to be filled by a person well-suited for that particular role. For example, you would never intentionally put someone without attention to detail or the ability to closely follow systems and procedures into the role of a financial controller. Does this mean that all controllers have attention to detail? Absolutely not! It is very common for people to feel locked into a position or career they're not naturally well-suited for, because that is the last position they held. When they get fired from one company, they feel their only value is in their past experience so they commonly apply for the same position that was a bad fit in the first place. This cycle of ignorance is prevalent and it's a shame that more business owners haven't discovered how to identify people that are naturally well-suited for certain roles.
Many jobs require someone with extreme patience, but how would you know if someone has that patience from just a job interview? That person may tell you they're patient because they don't understand themselves in the first place. What about a customer service role that requires someone with a high social ability? Many people can "turn on the charm" for a job interview, but when they settle into their role, their natural anti-social tendencies begin to surface. What if you have a position requiring someone strong in strategic thinking or influence over others? These things can be difficult to know about someone from just a few interactions.
Our workshop gives you a foundational understanding of how to apply personality assessments to yourself and your team members to find out all of these things (and more) before even selecting someone for an interview. This system can't guarantee you'll hire the right person every time, but it will save you from hiring countless "wrong" people, or at least people wrong for a certain seat in your business.
If you find value in the Team Click Workshop, we offer a one-day onsite training for company leadership where we travel to your place of business and analyze your team with a focus on your team members' strengths. We will teach you to lean into those strengths rather than focusing on shortcomings. Our onsite training is for serious executives only and REQUIRES full participation of company leadership.
We will go over the same principles as the Team Click Workshop, then apply them directly to your organization. We will conduct assessments on your executives and employees and discuss their probability of thriving in certain roles. We will help you identify strengths and potential "blind spots" of each of the personality types you employ. We will create hiring recommendations for particular roles and positions at your company to increase the likelihood of making successful hires. Our one-day onsite training comes with an annual subscription to one of two industry-leading personality assessment software programs as well as additional online resources to guide your hiring practices moving forward.
If you're tired of stress and turnover inside your company, come see how it can benefit you to understand people and personalities in a way you never imagined.
